The Christian County Farm Bureau® Foundation was started in 2006 by the Christian County Farm Bureau® to be able to provide educational opportunities that the Farm Bureau® could not provide. That year, the foundation began by awarding one $1,000 and two $500 scholarships. Since then, the Christian County Farm Bureau Foundation® has awarded nearly 90 scholarships totaling over $100,000, and has donated over $30,000 to fund Ag In The Classroom programming.
The purposes of the Christian County Farm Bureau® Foundation are to provide educational opportunity for persons studying agricultural and related fields and to encourage, promote, and fund the design, development, and distribution of educational and instructional materials and programs to provide improved instruction about agriculture and it’s related fields.
The Christian County Farm Bureau® Foundation has been determined to be a non-profit organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3).

2026 Scholarship Recipients
Drew Mickey
Drew is a 2024 graduate of Taylorville High School and currently attends Kansas State University where he plans to major in Animal Science. Drew is the son of Jon and Carla Mickey.
Olivia Mizeur
Olivia is a 2026 graduate of Taylorville High School and plans to attend the University of Illinois in the fall of 2026, where she plans to major in Animal Science. Olivia is the daughter of Mike and Becky Mizeur.
Rye Bliler
Rye is a 2026 graduate of Taylorville High School and plans to attend Lake Land College in the fall of 2026, where he plans to major in Agriculture Production and Management. Rye is the son of Nate and Elizabeth Bliler.
Tessa Saxe
Tessa is a 2024 graduate of Morrisonville high school and currently attends Oklahoma State University where she is majoring in Animal Science Pre-Law, with a minor in Agricultural Business Economics and Leadership. Tessa is the daughter of Chris and Angela Saxe.
